I'm having a busy November and a good start to December as well! I'll have four more events and fairs in my calendar for this year in the East Sussex area, mostly in Eastbourne. I will be trading my art on the first one but the rest are purely dedicated to tarot! I've just taken a big step to resale, so I will have a few tarot decks and books for grabs in the last events where I'm not trading art. I will also have gift cards available for purchase, however there will be a limited amount available. My next event is a 2-day on here in Eastbourne! Come find me and 6 other local Eastbourne artists offering art and tarot readings at the Beacon shopping centre - Gather, community space (by Sainsbury's) on Sunday and Monday, 17th & 18th of November. FREE ENTRY. >Facebook link to the event< My third event will be at Westham Pevensey, a charity event by the Civil Aviation Trust on Saturday 23rd of November at the Westham Village Hall. FREE ENTRY. My fourth event is on the same weekend, again in Eastbourne. Sussex Christmas Fayre will be held at the Cavendish Hotel on Sunday 24th of November. FREE ENTRY. >Facebook link to the event< >Eventbrite link to the event< My final event for this festive season will be the Christmas street party on Grove Road, Eastbourne. Christmas in Little Chelsea will be taking place on Friday, 6th of December.
>Facebook link to the event< I look forward to seeing many friendly faces and making some new connections! See you there! -Enni Seaside Siblinghood Holistic Craft Fair last Saturday was such an amazing experience for me! It was my first event as a stallholder and I was so nervous about getting everything right. Me and my partner only slept for 4 hours the night before, as I left everything to the last minute again! Regardless of that, the whole day went better than expected, I didn't forget anything home, I had coffee with me to keep me going, my art section display turned out nicely and I was busy all day with tarot readings. My partner's mum kept us fed throughout the day too, which I'm so grateful for as we definitely were too busy to go shopping for sandwiches during the day! So many friendly faces popped by and the feedback I received was so encouraging! Thank you to everyone who came by for a chat, took a photo of my art, grabbed my business card, made an art purchase or had tarot reading, it truly means a lot to someone who's just getting started in all this! At times I was so busy doing tarot readings I barely had time to even check my phone, which I'm so grateful for. My partner took the role of an assistant and kept my art side of the table going while I was doing readings with clients. Those conversations have been in my mind a lot, in a very warm way. Just a huge THANK YOU to the Seaside Siblinghood team for hosting such a beautiful event.
Thank you again to everyone who came by, thank you to my partner and his mum for the support and keeping us fed throughout the day. I would love to do it all again in the future! My November is busy! See you soon! -Enni So here it is, new logo!
I had been thinking for a while the look of my "tarot brand" and especially my previous logo. It was the mink skull sculpture, which I have made myself and which I'm personally very fond of. I did ask for some feedback form my fellow TABI members and they raised very good points, which had been on my mind as well. The mink skull in my logo could be misinterpreted in many ways and in that case wouldn't quite go with the message I want to portray. So, I chose the swan. This is my take on the ancient rock carving found at Ääninen, Finland. The swan is also told to be guarding the river of Tuonela, the underworld. Swan is a symbol of change and bringer of spring in Finland. It's also often associated with death, as it is a great taboo and sin to kill one. In some folk stories the swans are newly reincarnated people. And it's said that even the mute swan will sing at the time of its death. As I've mentioned in a previous blog post, the Death card is one of my favourites in the deck and has always brought me comfort, more than anything else. I've based the look of my website to this card in many ways. Also, a simpler logo is much more sufficient in printing into business cards ans such fun things! I now hope, my new logo is more aligned with the message I want to give with my tarot services, being gentle, approachable, promoting self love and growth. In other news, I did think my prices through again and the changes have now been made! As you can see, I've lowered my prices to be more accessible and to reflect other tarot service providers in the area of East Sussex. I also removed a couple of my Etsy listings, as I want to make sure I provide readings that are aligned with my code of ethics, meaning that I won't do readings that directly involves unconsenting third parties. I have some other wonderful and exciting news to post in a separate blog post, stay tuned! -Enni I am so excited to announce that I will be taking part in the Seaside Siblinghood Holistic Craft Fair to celebrate Samhain this year! I will be there selling my vulva themed art, jewellery, prints and tote bags as well as doing 15 minute tarot readings (don't worry, I will have help there when juggling with both!). So do mark the Saturday 2nd of November in to your diary and come by to say hello if you are in the Brighton area! I will be just by the entrance of the Unitarian Church with my offerings. I will also donate something to the raffle, but more about that on a later date! Find out more about LoviemoArt and my work on my Instagram page @enni.tapionkaski
I hope to see many friendly faces there! -Enni |
